Bradfield Brewery’s King & Miller Reopens following takeover and revamp

With refurbishment works now complete at The King & Miller in Deepcar, Managers Tom Redman and Natalie Wild are looking forward to welcoming customers through the doors on Thursday the 11th October from 5pm onwards.

The pub has undergone a long awaited internal makeover that has been aimed at preserving the pub’s history whilst giving it a fresh look. Bradfield Brewery took ownership of the King & Miller in April 2018 and the pub has been closed since then while works have been underway.

Original features from inside the building have been retained where possible and walls and floors restored with the addition of new seating and a small extension to the bar area. A ¾ size snooker table has taken residence within the games room area as well as seating booths added to the main lounge area of the pub. Externally the venue enjoys a large beer garden area to the rear and an additional seating area compliments the front of the property.

Farmers Ales from Bradfield Brewery will be available from the bar as well as complimentary range of larger, ciders, wines and soft drinks. The pub will be opening 7 days a week from 11:30am with a food offering soon to be introduced.

John Gill, Director of Bradfield Brewery is delighted on the re-opening of the new brewery pub “We are all excited here at Bradfield Brewery about the re-opening of the King & Miller. The pub has been at the centre of the local community for a very long time and I am sure if walls could talk, they would have quite some tales to tell! So now, as a Bradfield Brewery Pub with Tom and Natalie at the helm, Thursday the 11th October 2018 will be the beginning of a new chapter in this pub’s history. I would like to take this opportunity to extend a warm welcome to customers both old and new to come and be a part of this old Public Inn’s ongoing tale!”.

Bradfield Brewery to offer warm welcome at new Deepcar Pub!

Bradfield Brewery have taken ownership of the King and Miller Public House situated in Deepcar, Sheffield.
Formerly owned by Admiral Taverns, an opportunity knocked at the door for us when we saw the establishment had been placed on the market for sale.
With contracts now exchanged, we are keen to get the doors open and give a warm welcome to customers old and new.

Shortly to become a Bradfield Brewery Tap, the King and Miller will feature at least 6 cask ales from our Farmers Ales range, as well as a great selection of fine wines, spirits and soft drinks.

With open fires, a pool table and a spacious, enclosed beer garden – the pub will endeavour to offer a warm and friendly atmosphere where everyone will be welcome.

Operating a public house venue is not something new for Bradfield Brewery who have enjoyed a decade of success at their Brewery Tap, The Nags Head at Loxley.

Bradfield Brewery is based on a busy working farm in the picturesque village of Bradfield in Sheffield. Since brewing their first cask ale in 2005, the brewery has enjoyed continued success with their Farmers Ale range, delivering their cask ales to outlets nationwide.

John Gill, Director at Bradfield Brewery, on the acquisition said “We are excited at the opportunity to serve another local community with a traditional style public house which will offer great products in a friendly atmosphere. A traditional pub is something we believe should remain a part of our society and we are pleased to be bringing this offering to the local community of Deepcar and Stocksbridge”.

The King and Miller will be re-opening soon with a date yet to be confirmed.

Following this exciting news, the Brewery are now looking to recruit a Manager or Management Couple to take care of the day to day running of this new venture. Ideal candidates will have previous management experience as well as a high level of customer service and leadership skills.
