Bradfield Brewery owned Wharncliffe Arms at Wharncliffe Side is set to temporarily close for renovation.

The pub is having a major makeover and due to the intensity of works involved, the pub will be closed for the duration of the renovations.

Plans for alterations to the pub were approved in November 2022 and work is set to start at the end of May. The Pub will be therefore closed from the 22nd May 2023, until further notice.

The plans will see the seating area of the pub extended, a commercial kitchen installed and the relocation of the bar area. Whilst giving the pub the much needed facelift it requires, once complete, the plans are to keep the pub operating as a traditional village pub which offers a warm and friendly welcome to both the local community as well as visitors to the area. Changes will be of a contemporary nature to modernise the venue whilst maintaining it’s traditional pub like setting at the same time.
