Farmers Belgian Blue Launch

That most wonderful time of the year is drawing nearer and with that comes the launch of our popular Christmas Ale, Farmers Belgian Blue!

The first pints of the ‘official’ 2020 Brew will be served from our 3 Brewery Pubs on the 29th October.

Whilst some things are very different this year, our traditional festive tipple will remain very much the distinctive winter brew that many look forward to!

Farmers Belgian Blue will then be available in 5litre Mini Kegs from the Brewery Shop from Friday 30th October, with it then being available for delivery to pubs in cask from Monday 2nd November.

We Brewed it to 5k!

Our 5000th Brew – Coming to you – This September!

Whilst we’ve been busy running the covid curveball gauntlet, we have not forgotten an all important Milestone coming our way! The 14th of September saw our 5000th Brew take place and we hope you’ll agree, that’s something to celebrate.

Now usually we’d all just be saying ‘lets put a do’ on’, but let’s face it, we shouldn’t really be encouraging crowd gatherings at the moment so we’ve thought of a different way to mark the occasion!

This momentous brew will be celebrated with a 24 hour brewathon which will take place on the 24th September, and we’ll be live streaming the event for all to enjoy! Brewers Sam, Bruce and Kieran will begin the Brewathon at 5pm on the 24th and finish at 5pm on Friday 25th September.

With our seasonal calendar being turned upside down, we had planned for a brand new Brew in May this year, using our very own, home grown hops. Not wanting these hops to go to waste and with the milestone brew coming up, it lended us the opportunity to go forth and deliver!

So with our homegrown hops included, the brew will be made using 5 different hops, 5 different malts and if you’ve not guessed it, the beer will be 5%abv.

And now you’re thinking, what’s the charity, where should I donate? Well here’s the thing, we’re not asking you to donate a penny, this one’s just for fun and will leave your pockets alone! But we’d still like you to be involved so we’ll be live streaming the whole thing for you to join in at any time.

Whilst we can’t invite so many to come and have a drink with us, that doesn’t stop us getting a round in! So to complete the celebration, we will be giving away 5 celebratory gift packs which will include a mini keg of our 5k Brew. Further details on how to be in with a chance to win to follow!

The annual Bradfield Tractor Rally is taking place on 7th July 2019.

Yorkshire Air Ambulance has been chosen as the benefactor for this year’s charity rally, a facility that has been life saving more than once in our rural surroundings.

The Rally is being held in memory of two much loved characters within the farming industry, Wilfred Woods and Charlie Halliday who sadly both lost their lives in 2018.

The Rally will start at Storrs Green Farm in Dungworth at 10am where it will then travel through Stannington before taking a Pit Stop at Our Cow Molly. From there it will travel through Bradfield and Oughtibridge, landing at the Nags Head at Loxley for an afternoon of family fun and fundraising.

Peaty’s Trail Ale supporting Peaty’s Steel City Downhill 2019

Steve Peat and friends are happy to announce this year’s Steel City DH, “The Biggest Little Race in the world” is back on the 4th May 2019 and promises to be bigger and better than ever.

A perfectly formed rough diamond on Sheffield’s sporting calendar that has been running every spring since 2011, the race has always been that little bit different to your average mountain bike event with 11 year old rippers racing against World Cup stars and World Champions, not to mention one of the largest number of female racers in the UK!

Peaty’s Trail Ale was once again on the guest list and of course we obliged! The Steel City Downhill simply wouldn’t be the same without some Peaty’s Trail Ale in the mix!

The race takes place in Grenoside Woods, for further details please visit the website https://www.steelcitydh.com/
