Barrel Barrow Charity Event a Wheel Success
Bradfield Brewery’s Barrel Barrow Challenge Charity Event, held at the Nags Head, Loxley on Sunday 30th August raised £900 for charities CLIC Sargent and Baby James.
The charity event, which included a gruelling Barrel Barrow race, also featured a Best Dressed Barrow Competition, Ducking Stool, Charity Balloon release as well as lots of family entertainment.
The winner of the Barrel Barrow Challenge was Jason Hirst, who stormed the course in just 14.6 seconds! He was closely followed by Penistone Young Farmer, Richard Smith, who was just 2 seconds behind!
The ladies of the day, Jessica Hague and Alice Hague gave the barrel a push and impressed the crowds, both completing the course in less than 25 seconds!
The Best Dressed Barrow competition featured some imaginative entries, Jessica Hague scooped the winning prize with her ‘On the Beach’ display.
The event was very well attended and great fun was had by all! We look forward to doing it all again next year!
